Serve Meals at The Gathering Place
Each month, on the first Tuesday from 4:30 - 6:30 pm, we serve at the Gathering Place. You just show up - we'll show you what to do!
We need 5 volunteers every month. Click below to volunteer!
The Gathering Place is at 1448 “E” Street.
Refreshments after Worship
Hosts provide refreshments (snacks) after worship and serve coffee and water to enrich our time of fellowship after worship. Our Custodian helps set up, and our Hopsitality Ministry Team will let you know how we do this and assist as needed.
Pick a Sunday!
Help Serve Communion
We have communion in worship on the first Sundays of the month, and we need five volunteers to help serve the congregation. You must be an ordained ruling elder or deacon to help serve. (You do not have to be actively serving on Session or Deacons). We'll orient you to the work, so if you're not sure what to do, don't worry!
We need:
• 2 volunteers to hold the bread
• 2 volunteers to hold the juice
• 1 volunteer to be a "rover" to serve people who prefer to remain in the pews
Volunteer at McPhee Food Market
We need six volunteers to help at McPhee Food Market from 2:30–4:00 pm. Volunteers must complete the Lincoln Public Schools Volunteer Form before serving: LPS Volunteer Form.
Star City Pride Festival Booth
We need friendly faces to help staff our booth at Star City Pride! Join us Friday, June 12 at Woods Park (33rd & O).
Volunteers will:
• Hand out cooling towels
• Run a simple game and distribute prizes
• Share info about First Presbyterian Church and connect with visitors
First shift: pick up the prepared wagon at church and set up before 4 PM.
Second shift: tear down the booth and return items to the church.
