Serve Meals at The Gathering Place
Each month, on the first Tuesday from 4:30 - 6:30 pm, we serve at the Gathering Place. You just show up - we'll show you what to do!
We need 5 volunteers every month. Click below to volunteer!

2025 Star City Pride Festival and Parade!
Volunteer to help staff our booth Friday or Saturday
Volunteer to walk in the Parade Saturday
Star City Pride is a two-day Festival featuring dozens of vendors, local entertainers, musical acts, and family-friendly activities! Each year brings together over 4,000 LGBTQIA2S+ community members and allies in celebration of the unique spirit and culture of Pride in the Midwest. These festivities also include a free Pride Parade around the Nebraska State Capitol!
Friday, June 13th
Pride in the Park: 4 PM - 9 PM in Woods Park (Near 33rd & O)
Saturday, June 14th
Parade: 9 AM - 12 PM (Parade Start is 10 AM) around the Nebraska State Capitol Building
Pride in the Street: 12 PM - 8 PM at 17th & Ost
Refreshments after Worship
Hosts provide refreshments (snacks) after worship and serve coffee and water to enrich our time of fellowship after worship. Our Custodian helps set up, and our Hopsitality Ministry Team will let you know how we do this and assist as needed.
Pick a Sunday!
Help Serve Communion
We have communion in worship on the first Sundays of the month, and we need five volunteers to help serve the congregation. You must be an ordained ruling elder or deacon to help serve. (You do not have to be actively serving on Session or Deacons). We'll orient you to the work, so if you're not sure what to do, don't worry!
We need:
- 2 volunteers to hold the bread
- 2 volunteers to hold the juice
- 1 volunteer to be a "rover" to serve people who prefer to remain in the pews
Help in the Office while Carrie's away
Carrie will be on vacation for the first week of July, and at a conference the 2nd week of July. We would love to have some volunteers in the office to help answer the phone, the door, and collect mail while she is away. Thank you for helping the office while Carrie is away.
