I have always felt I was a child of God and have desired to serve the church and community as I observed my parents and grandparents before me. My passion is working on social justice issues. I have tried to live by Micah 6:8 and feel strongly that to “do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with God” is God’s wish for all of us.
When I was asked to serve as an Elder 30 years ago, I didn’t think I was ready. Now I wish I had. The opportunity to help steer the direction of our church for the future, and to help our congregation work with the Lincoln community toward becoming God’s kin-dom here on Earth has been very exciting and rewarding, even though sometimes frustrating, as I always wish things could move faster. Patience is a virtue I’m still working to perfect.
