Communion is one of those special moments when we share in the life of Christ, are given hope, and are strengthened for living out our faith.  On Sunday mornings at 10 am, we will have a 20-25  minute live Zoom Communion Service.  Just click this link at 10 am on Sundays to join this service.  For call in options, please see full instructions below.

Join us at 9:45 am for a time of fellowship and connection before the communion service.  Just click the link early, and you’ll be there!

Please be sure to join by video if you have that capability – one of the joys we have when we gather is the ability to see each other’s faces!

Please have with you some bread and drink (juice, wine, or whatever you wish to use), so when we reach the point of the service where we eat and drink, we can all eat and drink together.

Zoom Communion:  August 9, 2020

Communion Liturgy adapted from one by Rev. Katey Schwind

Luke 4:16-21

16When he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, he went to the synagogue on the sabbath day, as was his custom. He stood up to read, 17and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was given to him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written:

18 ‘The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
because he has anointed me bring good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind,
to let the oppressed go free, 19 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.’

20And he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant, and sat down. The eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on him. 21Then he began to say to them, ‘Today this scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.’

The Lord be with you.
And also with you.
Lift up your hearts!
We lift them up to the Lord
Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
It is right to give our thanks and praise

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,
Because God has anointed me to bring good news to the poor.
God has sent me to proclaim release to the captives.
Recovery of sight to the blind.
To let the oppressed go free.
And to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.

May we do so, drawing on the strength, the courage, and the wisdom of Christ.
