On the first and third Saturday of each month, volunteers from First Presbyterian Church (approx. 30) and volunteers from Jacob’s Well (about 20) join forces with the Lincoln Food Bank to feed approximately 350 families, over 1,100 persons, enough groceries (perishables and nonperishables) to last about two weeks. Our members believe in practicing hospitality that respects the dignity of those serving and being served… realizing that as we get to know our neighbors who come twice a month… real community is being formed.
As many have discovered, it is not enough to read and pray the scriptures… one must also perform the scriptures to experience the liberating power of the Gospel.
Come volunteer and see how hearts are being touched and lives transformed for all involved in this wonderful program. Your soul will feel better for doing it, we promise.

Great stuff going on, I’m so thankful we can be a part of such a great mission!”
