A number of years ago we made a commitment to stay in the heart of Lincoln, committed to the neighborhood in which we have lived and ministered for over a century. The neighborhood has changed dramatically many times over those years, but our commitment to Lincoln and our neighbors has not.

First Presbyterian Church is involved in everything from food distribution ministries to fun neighborhood gatherings. Below are just some of the ministries we support, engage in, and relate to:

  • Clinic With a Heart
  • Community Crops Garden
  • The Lighthouse
  • Food Bank of Lincoln – Food Distrubution
  • English as a Second Language Classes (ELL) with Southeast Community College and Lincoln Literacy

  • McPhee Elementary School Partnership: SPLASH (Super Plans and Learning Activities for Summer Happenings), book buddies, Food Market
  • Local mission projects with children and youth
  • Grocery Card sales to support caring ministries within the church and in the greater Lincoln area
