GPS: God’s Purpose Sought

Let the Journey Begin!

Our very own GPS Team introduced this important revitalization process with a skit at both the 8:30 AM and 11:00 AM services this past Sunday.  For those who were not there it involved a bus, a bus driver, and passengers the driver picked up along the route to the appointed destination.  But not surprisingly, they were passengers who questioned if the bus driver was going the right way, who became impatient with the length of the journey, who became irritated with those who were on the journey with them.  Fortunately, the bus driver had his trusted GPS handy to reassure everybody.  At the end of the skit, we learned that our GPS in this journey will be “God’s Purpose Sought.”  We will as a community of believers discover, discern, and embody God’s vision for this church.  The next milestone on the journey is November 6, 2011 at the 11:00 AM service when the GPS Team and the congregation will be officially commissioned to embark on GPS:  God’s Purpose Sought. Let the journey begin!
