Steph Nelson is the Coordinator of Children's Ministries at First Presbyterian Church. She has been working in the field of youth & children's ministry for 10 years. Her main objective when working with kids is to encourage them to show God's love to everyone, through good works, kind words and friendly faces.

At First Presbyterian, Steph’s responsibilities include curriculum development, organizing children's mission projects, recruiting teachers for Sunday school, and coordination of Vacation Bible School. She also coordinates Children’s Church and leads Ring & Sing (beginning music group), and Kaleidoscope (middle school bell choir)."

Steph is married to her high-school sweetheart, and a mom to a very energetic 7 year old. They stay very busy with family sports, including volleyball, swimming, golf, softball, and soccer. Steph is also a sidewalk chalk artist and plays trumpet in the Lincoln Community Concert Band

Sunday School

FALL 2012 KICKOFF SEPTEMBER 9TH!!!

Join us for morning Sunday School classes, worship and Children’s Church, followed by a light lunch and Olympic themed games.  Fill out paperwork, sign up for the CROP walk, and find out what’s “Better than Gold…?”

Sunday School classes are held for children ages three through High School. Classes meet at 9:45 a.m. September through May. Sunday School opens with all children gathering on our new GrowGround ( or in the Chapel in case of inclement weather) for Children’s Mission and Offering time at 9:45 a.m.

Toddlers (2′s & 3′s): meet in room 103

Pre K & Kindergarten: meet on the GrowGround (or in the Chapel during inclement weather), move to room 105

1st through 5th Grades:  meet on the GrowGround (or in the Chapel during inclement weather), move to room 205

Mid-High:  meet on the GrowGround (or in the Chapel during inclement weather), move to room 218

Sr. High: is invited to help with the younger classes

Parents: meet in room 204 for fellowship and support on your Christian parenting journey.
