Choosing a church family is not an easy decision to make.
- Maybe you’re looking for a place where your children will be loved.
- Maybe you’re looking for a place where you can make a difference.
- Maybe you’re looking for a place where you will be celebrated for who you are.
- Maybe you’re looking for a place where you can grow in discipleship.
- Maybe you’re looking for a place where you will be challenged in new ways.
- Maybe you’re looking for worship that will fill you.
We invite you to visit First Presbyterian Church and get a sense of who we are. Then come back! We trust you will find a warm welcome and meaningful worship on your first visit – but first impressions are one thing – it take a bit of time to really know a community of faith. Joining a church is an invitation to immerse yourself deeply into the worship, fellowship and work of the church, so take your time in getting to know us before making such an important decision. So join us for a church service, join us for fellowship, join us for an experience that will engage your head, heart and hand as we follow Jesus Christ into the world.
First Presbyterian Church is a place to belong, where faith is nurtured, curiosity is encouraged, diversity is welcomed and all are loved.
“So what if I just want to attend, and not become a member of the church?”
By all means, come! We have members who have been here for a year to several decades, and we also have participants who have been coming for a long time and have never actually put their name on the membership roll and probably never will. That’s OK! All are welcome and loved!
“So what if I do want to join? What do I have to do?”
If you would like to join First Presbyterian Church please contact Pastor Sue at firstname.lastname@example.org. We encourage everyone interested in learning more about what it means to be a member of First Presbyterian Church to attend one of our New Member Exploration Classes. Below you will find information about upcoming classes. If none is currently listed, just contact Pastor Sue. If we don’t have one planned and there is interest, we plan one! Once you decide that this is where you want to make your church home, you will meet with our session for an opportunity to share with them a bit of your faith story, and to get to know the leaders of the church. Then we will formally welcome you during a worship service, to celebrate your decision to live out your faith in this community of believers.
